Vikalp brings with him a wealth of experience of over 16 years in the hospitality industry. His first forays into the industry allowed him to specialize his skills in income generation through targeted strategic plans adapted to the market conditions of the hotels under his responsibility. His many accomplishments have enabled him to rise quickly through the ranks in a very short time.
After earning his Business Management degree from Alliance Business School and a Hospitality degree from the eminent Institute of Hotel Management in Bangalore, Vikalp joined Marriott International immediately after a short stint in two large hotel organizations. Having a proven track record with some of Marriott International’s top brands such as JW Marriott and Sheraton, he has led sales, revenue and marketing teams at pre-opening hotels and established hotels. His successes in his most recent role as Director of Sales and Marketing at Sheraton Grand Bangalore at Brigade Gateway include an award-winning increase in market share and significant year-over-year revenue growth for sales of rooms and catering.
Adept at managing large teams and dealing with clients, Vikalp has obtained recognition and prestigious awards such as “DOSM of the year, South Zone” at the IHE Hospitality Awards 2019 & “DOSM of the year, South Zone” by BW Hôtelier.
Vikalp continues his journey with Marriott International and will lead the dynamic sales and revenue teams of St. Regis Mumbai to achieve revenue goals, forge relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing STR ownership, achieving Revpar and by evaluating the competition and hotel intelligence.
His joie de vivre includes his love for cars, Italian food and his family, especially his daughter who is the apple of his eye.
