This has helped us build a strong customer base and build trust and trust development with hotel developers. Most of the hotels we run come from repeat promoters or recommendations from them because they believe in our business ethics.

We always place great emphasis on engaging guests during their stay, whether it’s a cooking demonstration, guiding kids to swim, or teaching guests how to make mocktails and cocktails. . These experiences become a memory for the client.
Future of level 2 and 3 cities
In recent times, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities have become major business centers for hotels. Providing them with quality accommodation at a low price is no easy task. This is where TGI Hotels tries to fit in. âIn our initial market research, we felt that there are a lot of opportunities in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and these are growing exponentially. As many of these cities are becoming smart cities, we have chosen to grow with this development by providing quality and affordable stay for guests, âsaid Roy.
Post-pandemic modus operandi
The hospitality industry has been drenched with losses from the pandemic, and months of lockdowns have only added to the misery. The same goes for TGI because they only worked six to seven months last year. The occupancy rate fell to zero and there was no cash flow. However, the recovery period was quick after the first lockdown was lifted. In two months, TGI has reached 70% of pre-Covid levels. Regarding the precautions to which the group has adhered, Kumar comments: âThe safety protocols decided and followed are in accordance with the policies established by the government and the advice of the medical fraternity. Rooms and public areas are disinfected in accordance with the Covid-19 protocol, and hotel housekeeping has been given special attention to ensure guests have safe accommodation. “
According to Roy and Kumar, the hospitality industry will be the most active and one of the most revenue-generating companies after the end of the pandemic. The duo say they used this time for renovations, new business plans, and new investments for upcoming businesses before the industry opened up. âEven after the second lockdown was lifted, we were able to see the industry rebound at twice the speed of the previous time. People have started to travel and will need a major break from the monotony of staying indoors, âsays Roy.
Sharing their future goals, Kumar said, âWe had set a goal of managing 2,020 rooms in 2020, and we were gradually and aggressively moving towards the same. However, this pandemic brought a temporary end to it and gave us the much-needed time to correct ourselves and properly align. We are much stronger and focused now and the story of growth will continue. Our dream is to have TGI hotels every three to four hour drive across India. After strengthening our presence in North, Central and South India, we will venture into East and West India.
