The Cellar’s original line-up: new features and improvements – restoration

If you’ve ever walked past Lake Westhampton on a Wednesday, you know the smell of tater tots and freshly toasted sandwiches, the roar of sports fans, the sounds of laughter and the welcoming vibe of The Cellar. An experience that only happened on Wednesday can again be experienced any day of the week.

Michael Scampoli and Corry Comstock, the new co-managers of The Cellar, crossed paths while working together at the Heilman Dining Center.

Both managers bring years of experience to the table. Before joining the Heilman Dining Center team six years ago, Scampoli worked at Johnny Rockets and in the University of Richmond’s food service. Comstock began his culinary career in the hospitality industry, earning his Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts/Restaurant Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management from SUNY Delhi. He also studied abroad at Apicius International School of Hospitality in Florence, Italy. They’re excited about the new schedules and finding room for innovation this year at The Cellar.

“We showcase our culinary abilities,” says Comstock. “The big thing we’re advocating is doing a lot of stuff in-house rather than buying frozen food.” For example, the chicken wings are high quality, and the burgers are now two 4-ounce patties from Seven Hills., a company based in Virginia.

During this year, Scampoli and Comstock hope to introduce a “pizza of the week” special as well as their award-winning 2 AM Burger, consisting of a stuffed double burger patty between an English muffin with sriracha aioli, cheddar cheese, a fried egg and bacon.

The managers of the Cellar are eager to welcome the public back to their establishment andI enjoy working closely with students. La Cave is now open seven days a week, serving an average of 400 customers per night! Keep an eye out for The Cellar’s best-selling, lightly breaded chicken tenders with a subtle hint of buttermilk flavor. Below are the new and improved schedules for The Cellar:

Sunday-Thursday: 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Friday – Saturday: 5:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
