Next generation hotel technology (HTNG) crowned ShiftGenius by UniFocus the winner of the 2021 HTNG TechOvation award during the HT-NEXT rewards program last month.

This awards program continues HTNG’s tradition of showcasing cutting-edge innovations in hotel technology and recognizing industry-leading hoteliers in using new technologies to revolutionize the guest experience.

ShiftGenius by UniFocus allows managers to identify staffing options to meet shift needs based on ranks or groupings, including seniority, skill set, and cross-utilization at one or more properties. ShiftGenius gives managers real-time visibility into availability, overtime, and other work rules as employees take and trade shifts.

The two TechOvation finalists were Hapi/DataTravel with the Hapi Guest product and Oracle Hospitality with the Oracle Hospitality Integrations Platform (OHIP) product.

OHIP gives hotel operators and integrators access to all the features OPERA Cloud has to offer by enabling operators and integrators to design, build and release integrations in days to speed time to market and reduce costs. .
