New CEO of the Institute of Hospitality


The Institute of Hospitality, the professional body for current and aspiring hospitality managers, has appointed Robert Richardson as CEO.

A new chapter for the Institute of Hospitality

Now as the head of this international professional body, Richardson will strive to build on Ducker’s legacy. Richardson was previously Managing Director of Cave Hotel in Kent and, prior to that, held the same position at The Grand in Folkestone, and was an active member of the institute’s advisory board.

The new CEO received the Institute of Hospitality Judges’ Award in 2018 for his commitment to the professional body, before being named in September 2020 Vice President of the Institute of Hospitality.

Advancing the industry

In this influential role, Richardson will work closely with the President of the Institute of Hospitality, Kellie rixon, to lead the organization in a post-pandemic world and help it achieve its aspiration to obtain charter status.
