Allianz PNB Life recently launched its latest digital campaign titled “Who’s A Good Hooman?” featuring man’s best friend through a golden retriever named “Yanzy”.
“Who’s a Good Hooman?” continues June’s ‘Seeds of Tomorrow’ campaign, which aimed to spread the message that insurance is one of the best ways to prepare for whatever the future holds. New Country General Manager to lead Ascott Philippines towards holistic growth
Ascott Limited (Ascott) Philippines has appointed Country Managing Director, Philip Barnes, a longtime member of the Ascott Group, to lead the cluster in its strategic pursuit to become the largest hospitality player in the Philippines.
The 38-year-old Australian has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having risen through the ranks during his nearly 20-year career. Prior to moving to the Philippines in 2011, Mr. Barnes worked in Malaysia, Australia and Hong Kong, where he held various positions in hotels and serviced residences.
He has a master’s degree in asset management, which should serve Ascott well as it aims to grow its roster by 5,000 units in hotels, resorts and serviced residences over the next few years. This includes new brands like lyfdesigned for cohabitation, as well as the full suite of hotel and resort brands set to launch in the Philippines.
Barnes will play a pivotal role in eight new property openings in 2023 in Quezon City, Manila, Makati, Cebu and Bacolod. Manila and Cebu properties will be under lyf. This co-living brand offers social common spaces where customers can live, work and play. Designed for next-generation travelers, this hybrid living concept takes authentic stay experiences to the next level by incorporating local neighborhood culture, design, attractions and partnerships.
Ascott has also appointed Ms. Cecille Teodoro as General Manager of Ascott Makati and Somerset Millennium Makati, while Rennan John Reyes has also been appointed General Manager of Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila and Citadines Bay City Manila.

ROX launches Bayanihan initiatives for local communities
ROX has partnered with the ABS-CBN Foundation to better meet the needs of the hardest hit communities during this time of a pandemic. This was highlighted at ROX’s event on July 27th at BGC High Street in Taguig.
